ZenaTech (NASDAQ: ZENA) to acquire Southern California survey firm
ZenaTech Inc. (ZENA) announced it has signed an offer to acquire a Southern California-based land survey and engineering firm. The acquisition would expand the company’s Drone as a Service operation in the region for public works and wildfire management applications.
The target firm serves government and commercial builder customers and specializes in public works projects. ZenaTech plans to integrate drone-based aerial data, analytics, and automation into the acquired company’s existing government contracts.
“Southern California is one of the largest and most dynamic public works and infrastructure-driven regions in the country,” said Shaun Passley, ZenaTech CEO. The acquisition would provide opportunities for wildfire detection, terrain monitoring, and environmental recovery mapping services.
This represents ZenaTech’s 12th acquisition toward its stated goal of establishing 25 Drone as a Service location by mid-2026. The company’s DaaS model provides on-demand or subscription-based drone services for surveying, inspections, and precision farming without requiring customers to invest in equipment, pilots, or maintenance.
ZenaTech operates through offices in North America, Europe, Taiwan, and the UAE. The company develops AI drone solutions through its subsidiary ZenaDrone and provides enterprise software solutions to law enforcement, government, and industrial sectors.
