What the US was trying to prevent, Russia to supply 50 billion cubic meters of gas to China in 2026

Russia plans to deliver 50 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China in 2026 through the Power of Siberia pipeline and Kazakhstan, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said on Thursday.

Russia’s Gazprom and China’s CNPC are holding discussions about a second pipeline project, Power of Siberia-2, which has been renamed to Power of Baikal, Novak said.

The intergovernmental commission will discuss the project on Friday, Novak added.
