Very little patients, President Trump is infuriated with Iran for taking too long to negotiate

Iran has taken too long to negotiate a peace deal and “will have to pay the price,” President Donald Trump warned on Wednesday, hours after the U.S. launched fresh attacks against the country.

In a social media post, Trump reiterated that Iran’s military has been eradicated by a joint U.S.-Israeli campaign that is now in its fourth month, claiming that the “Bully of the Middle East is DEAD!!!”

The comments follow a new barrage of American attacks on targets in Iran, in retaliation to a strike on a U.S. helicopter near the Strait of Hormuz that Washington blamed on Tehran.

Iran, for its part, has not claimed responsibility for the downing of the U.S. Apache helicopter, which prompted President Donald Trump to say in a social media post that the U.S. had to respond.

U.S. Central Command said that military forces had hit Iranian air defenses and satellite radar sites, although the scope of the damage was not yet known.

Iran launched its own attacks on U.S. bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, deepening a cycle of retaliatory strikes that threaten to derail negotiations around a peace deal that could stop the fighting and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Five missiles were also shot down in Jordan, according to the Associated Press.
