Teamwork, Pentagon signs AI deals with Nvidia, Microsoft, AWS and Reflection

The Pentagon announced Friday that it has secured agreements with four additional technology companies to deploy advanced artificial intelligence tools on classified military networks, according to a Bloomberg report Friday.

Nvidia Corp., Microsoft Corp., Reflection AI Inc., and Amazon Web Services have all entered into agreements with the U.S. Defense Department for operational use, according to a Defense Department statement. Two defense officials familiar with the matter confirmed the deals.

These companies join SpaceX, OpenAI, and Google in recently agreeing to provide AI tools for Pentagon classified networks. The statement marks the first official Pentagon confirmation of a new deal with Google that was reported earlier this week.

“These agreements accelerate the transformation toward establishing the United States military as an AI-first fighting force,” the statement said.

The Pentagon finalized its agreement with Amazon Web Services late Thursday, according to two Pentagon officials briefed on the discussions.
