Take it or leave it, Air Canada reaches tentative deal with 11,000 maintenance workers

Air Canada announced today that it has reached a tentative collective agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers representing 11,000 employees in its Technical Operations, Maintenance and Operational Support group.

The agreement covers workers in Technical Operations, Airports and Cargo, Logistics and Supply roles. The four-year deal would run from April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2030.

The carrier said the agreement recognizes the contributions and skills of its employees. The deal remains subject to ratification by union membership, which is expected to be completed in the coming days.

If approved, this would mark the sixth collective agreement concluded at Air Canada this year.
