Raise the Roof, TopBuild (NYSE: BLD) to acquire Johnson Roofing
TopBuild Corp. (NYSE: BLD) announced it entered into an agreement to acquire Johnson Roofing, a commercial roofing installation services company based in Texas with approximately $29 million in annual revenue.
Johnson Roofing, founded in 1941 in Waco, operates as a third-generation family company serving commercial roofing projects across Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. The company represents one of the largest commercial roofing installation services providers in Texas.
The acquisition expands TopBuild’s commercial roofing services platform in Central Texas. TopBuild operates as an installer of insulation and commercial roofing services, maintaining over 200 branches across the United States through its Installation Services segment.
Robert Buck, TopBuild’s President and CEO, stated the acquisition supports the company’s commercial roofing services platform development. Nick Hadden, leader of Progressive Roofing, noted the deal allows TopBuild to serve general contractor customers in what he described as a highly fragmented commercial roofing market.
Sherri Johnson, leader of Johnson Roofing, expressed alignment between the companies’ safety culture and pursuit of excellence standards.
