Rail Vision (NASDAQ: RVSN) stock soars after acquiring majority stake in quantum firm
Rail Vision Ltd. (NASDAQ:RVSN) stock jumped 20% after the railway safety technology company announced it has acquired a 51% stake in Quantum Transportation, a quantum computing and AI company specializing in machine-learning-based error correction technologies.
The acquisition marks a strategic expansion for Rail Vision as it looks to integrate quantum-AI capabilities with its existing railway safety platforms. According to a corporate update from CEO David BenDavid, Quantum Transportation has developed a transformer-based neural decoder that outperforms classical quantum error correction algorithms in simulations.
While initially focused on quantum research, Rail Vision is already exploring potential synergies between the quantum computing technology and its railway AI systems, which could enhance predictive safety, anomaly detection, and autonomous operations capabilities.
The company also highlighted several commercial achievements from 2025, including a purchase order from a Central American freight rail operator for its MainLine system, a $335,000 follow-on order from a Latin American mining company, and continued partnership with Israel Railways.
