IT looks like a buy, Trace3 to buy Calian Group’s US commercial IT business

Trace3 announced plans to acquire the U.S. commercial IT operations of Calian Group (CGY), a carve-out transaction expected to close next month, according to a press release from the California-based firm.

The acquisition will add managed services infrastructure, including a security operations center and two 24x7x365 network operations centers, along with advanced integration centers. Trace3 said the deal expands its operational presence in Texas and Minnesota.

The transaction also covers software, hardware, consulting, professional services, and managed services aligned to AI, cloud, data, and security offerings. Trace3 noted shared strategic partner relationships between the two companies, including Cisco alliances.

“This planned acquisition meaningfully expands our managed services capabilities and operational reach in the U.S., adding the facilities, talent, and service infrastructure to help our clients strengthen resilience, improve visibility, and accelerate transformation across their environments,” said Joe Quaglia, CEO of Trace3.
